Julia Chabola (Ms. Julie) received her Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Kent State University and her Masters degree in Piano Performance from The University of Akron as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Julie started teaching Kindermusik in 2013 and bought the business from Kathleen Heydorn-O'Dell in 2019. 

  Outside of Kindermusik, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children, Miles and Maisie (and of course taking them to Kindermusik). Julie also teaches piano, directs her church choir, and accompanies musicians and musicals when the time allows! Kindermusik is a path that has found her: a combination of music and children could not make her any happier!  

Julia's favorite Kindermusik book is Shiny Dinah and her favorite song is My Bonnie!

 

Kara Morgan

Manager, Licensed Kindermusik Educator

Kara has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA and a Masters in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College. Taking some time off from teaching, Kara enrolled her daughter in Kindermusik at four months of age and fell in love with the program. Kara loves the social interaction, early literacy skills, and fun that makes the Kindermusik experience so magical! 

 

Sharon Swetland

Licensed Kindermusik Educator

Sharon Swetland (Ms. Sharon) has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Speech and Theatre. She is probably most often recognized for her role of co-host on the Ohio Lottery's Cash Explosion Game Show, which airs on Saturday evenings. She is also a host for the Lottery's nightly drawings. Before moving to a career of primarily television work, Sharon worked as a professional actress with the regional company of The Cleveland Play House, appeared at the Great Lakes Theatre and various other professional theatre companies. Her work with children and music started with musical theatre and youth theatre training. Kindermusik is a wonderful blend for her dedication to children - music, childhood development, education, and personal interaction during those precious first few years. 

Ms. Sharon's favorite Kindermusik book is Pete and P.J., and her favorite song is Golden Slumbers!

 

Jennifer Alvim

Licensed Kindermusik Educator

Licensed School Counselor

Jennifer Alvim (Ms. Jen) received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College and her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in School Counseling from Youngstown State University. She has over seventeen years of experience working in Education and Counseling and has been involved in music for most of her life. As a Kindermusik mom, Jennifer has experienced first-hand the joys of participating in Kindermusik with her son. She is passionate about the benefits of music in the personal, social, and emotional development of children and is excited to be a part of the studio. 

Jennifer's favorite Kindermusik book is Shiny Dinah and (two of) her favorite songs are "Whimsical Whales" and "If I Had a Big Blue Boat."

Anne-Marie Savoie

Student Teacher

Growing up in New Jersey, Anne-Marie discovered a love of dance, especially ballet. She fostered this passion with many trips to her local library! After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a BFA, she danced professionally for fourteen years. Since completing an MLIS from Kent State University in 2001, she’s been leaping and spinning with a different crowd as a children’s librarian.

 

Ms. Anne-Marie developed a love for children’s music classes when she took her own two sons when they were small children.

 

Anne-Marie is excited to join the Kindermusik team and share her enthusiasm for music, dance, play, and storytelling all part of the joyful world of young children.
